There are several things I have heard and read from people I respect and listen to. I'm sure everyone has
their own gambling philosophies, but it is always good to do as much research as possible. This page will
be for articles and advice I find useful for sports bettors. If you would like to submit an article, please

Bad Luck Handicapper
One very easy piece of advice that I must give is to always compare lines. Different books often have different
lines on the same games. The house has a 10% built in juice line - Its not easy to overcome this! If you find a book
that does 1/2 juice for afternoon games, then place your bets there. We have some excellent affiliates here who
provide great sign up bonus' and run good specials. If those aren't quite what you need, others aren't that hard to
find if you try. If you find a site with a great deposit bonus, take advantage! Always look for any edge you can get.
It ain't EZ being this bad!
My first "stolen" advice is especially valuable for the upcoming basketball season

Here are the details -

NCAA basketball is especially good for betting on "middles". That is an area where you can find
value. However it does require that you spend time monitoring lines at different online sportsbooks.
What I do is have both my Pinnacle account and Bowmans account open on my computer screen at
the same time. I then go over the list of betting lines on each site. I might come across something like
this in NCAA basketball:

At Pinnacle: Michigan State -5.5 -103 (vs. Michigan)
At Bowmans: Michigan +6 -105 (vs. Michigan State)

This is a game I would wager on. I might bet $1030 on Michigan State and $1050 on Michigan. I have
a chance to hit a "half-middle" on this game. If the game ends with Michigan State winning by exactly
6 I win $1000 at Pinnacle and my bet at Bowmans is a push (get my money back). If the game ends at
a different result the most I will either lose is $30 or $50 on this game. At worst I only have to hit a
"half-middle" with spreads as low as this, once in every 20 games to have a profit.
